Lifestyle Counseling with me is about turning the small, everyday choices you make into powerful tools for your emotional stability and peace of mind. Instead of asking you to overhaul your entire routine, I help you identify specific habits that quietly fuel your anxiety, low mood, or burnout-and realistic changes that fit your actual life.
A key part of this work involves Mindfulness and Relaxation Techniques. Together, we explore simple practices you can use between sessions to calm your body and quiet your thoughts: grounding exercises you can do at your desk, brief breathing patterns to use before a difficult conversation, or short mindfulness moments that help you reset after a stressful day. I teach you how these techniques affect your brain and nervous system so they feel less like "woo" and more like practical tools.
Lifestyle Counseling may also touch on sleep rhythms, nutrition patterns, movement, screen time, and how you structure your day if you live with ADHD, depression, or a mood disorder. You decide what feels realistic to focus on; I bring the clinical lens and decades of experience to guide you.
Because all care is delivered through telehealth, you practice many of these skills right in the spaces where you will actually use them-your home, office, or car during a break-which makes it more likely they will stick. Over time, these small shifts can mean fewer emotional crashes, more consistent energy, and a greater sense of control over how you feel.
You do not need to "get it perfect." Lifestyle Counseling is about experimenting, noticing what helps, and building a more supportive rhythm to your days, one doable step at a time.
